When you run data recovery software to recover lost data, after scanning, you may encounter the following problems:

  1. I saved the files to my computer, but I can't open my recovered files.
  2. The files are zero byte, I can't open the files that I saved.
  3. After scan, I can't find my lost files.

In order to solve the 3 issues above, you can try the following solutions:

1. Restart your computer, and run Magoshare data recovery software to scan your hard drive or device again.

In some cases, if you run data recovery software to scan your hard drive immediately when you delete your files, you may can't find all deleted files or only find can't opened files. Just restart your computer, and run the data recovery software to deeply scan your hard drive. When the scan is completed, find and recover your lost files.

2. Save all recoverable files which have the same file extension with your lost files.

In most cases, when you lose the files, the file system will change the file name of your lost files (for example, you have a file named 21week.rmvb, after deletion, the file name of this fie may become FILE001.rmvb). So, if you can't find your lost files, or recovered files can't be opened, just save all recoverable files which have the same file extension with your lost files.

Fox example, if you lose some .mp4 videos, after scanning, just click "TYPE" > Videos > mp4, and save all .mp4 videos to your computer, then check the recovered videos on your computer and find your lost mp4 videos.

3. Repair your corrupted files.

If your files still can't be opened after 2-3 scan, you can find file repair software on Google to try to fix the can't-be-opened files. There are many file repair software you can find on Google. You also can try to scan your hard drive 2-3 days later to try if you can find the right files. Or you can't send your hard drive to local data recovery service store.
